New Year's Message from Pastor Keith
Greetings Church Family,
As we begin to experience the “newness” of the year 2021, we must consider the work of the Lord in our lives. Truly, last year was not what any of us would have ever expected! None of us would have imagined the changes brought about by the COVID-19 virus and the impact those changes would have. But it happened. In fact, those changes are continuing to have an impact on our society still. The church “operation” is not immune to some of those changes. We have adjusted, shifted, amended, and cancelled meetings and activities the past several months in response and reaction to the virus.
What we cannot do is give up! We cannot stop “being” the church! In fact, our society needs us now more than ever! People need to both “see” and “hear” the message of HOPE that the gospel provides. We have been promised trouble as we live out our faith (2 Timothy 3:12). We have also been promised the peace that only Christ can provide as we live out our faith in a world filled with all sorts of troubles and trials (John 16:33).
Let me encourage you to deepen your “faith roots” this year! Spend more time with the Lord. Study His Word more than in the past. Be more obedient to worship, discipleship, and evangelism. Participate, as you are able, in more of the various ministries of the church this year. Continue to pray for your church leaders as we “navigate” these uncertain times and as we lead as we are led by the Holy Spirit. May the Lord bless you this year as we seek to be His church on mission with Him!
Blessings,
Pastor Keith
